By activating the Microsoft Teams notification channel, the Customer accepts the following supplementary terms. They supplement the General Terms and Conditions of Sale of Idealworks (the "GTC"); in the event of any conflict, the GTC shall prevail.
1. Subject matter. The Teams channel is an optional feature that each user may activate in their user account. It additionally delivers into the Customer's Microsoft Teams environment the same notifications that Idealworks would otherwise send by e-mail. It is a purely outbound channel (one-way communication); Idealworks does not access any content or data within the Customer's Teams environment. The user may deactivate the channel at any time.
2. Additional channel; safety-relevant notifications. The Teams channel supplements, but does not replace, e-mail notifications. For safety-relevant notifications, e-mail notification shall remain active and authoritative at all times.
3. Availability and delivery. Delivery via Teams depends on the Customer's Teams environment and on Microsoft's services. Idealworks can only detect that a message has been accepted by the Microsoft service, not that it has been delivered into the tenant or noticed by a user; no delivery or read receipt exists. The Customer shall ensure the setup required for receipt within its Teams environment (in particular, any approval or installation of the application by its IT).
4. Liability. The liability provisions of the GTC (Article 11) apply unchanged. These supplementary terms neither extend Idealworks' liability nor limit any mandatory statutory liability (in particular for injury to life, body or health, and in cases of intent, gross negligence or breach of material contractual obligations). Any non-delivery or delayed delivery attributable to the Customer's Teams environment or to Microsoft's services shall not be attributable to Idealworks.
5. Data protection. Idealworks processes the user's Teams identifiers required for delivery as a controller (see Article 8.4 of the GTC), solely for the purpose of delivering the notifications; these identifiers are deleted when the channel is deactivated. For transmission, Idealworks uses Microsoft (Azure Bot Service) as a processor. Details are set out in the privacy notice. The Customer shall ensure that no unnecessary personal data is used in free-text fields (e.g. mission or device names) whose content appears in notifications.
